From The Fields’ Event Accountant

From The Fields is looking for an Event Accountant to work across its portfolio of events including the award-winning Kendal Calling and bluedot festivals.

Successful applicants will have knowledge and experience of working in finance and have strong numeracy and computer literacy skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

The Event Accountant will work closely with the Financial Controller overseeing the tasks listed below, among other responsibilities

  • Preparation and assistance in monthly management accounts, including completion of prepayments, accruals, fixed asset adjustments, and annual financial statements
  • Weekly collation of internal ticket sales reports and monthly reconciliation of ticket revenue
  • Completion of OneSource submissions, VAT returns, and FEU returns
  • Liaise with budget holders for weekly updates and report to festival directors
  • Monthly reconciliation of ticket revenue and collation of internal ticket sales reports
  • Accounts Payable management, Sales ledger management, and general office administration

Skills & Experience

  • Excellent technical, analytical, and reporting skills
  • Rigorous, methodical, and well organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong IT capabilities, detailed knowledge of the main Microsoft applications including excellent Excel knowledge (lookups, pivot tables, formulae etc.)
  • Excellent numeracy and verbal skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure whilst prioritising effectively
  • AAT Level 4 or higher level accounting qualifications preferred
